Getting Started : Training Plans

Hello, and welcome to Insight CoachPro. Let’s take a look at the athlete Training Plan.

We’re going to start with athlete Beth, and we’ve created a Season Road Map for her based on both her total volume for the training week as well as her longest workout in each sport for that training week. When we go to Beth’s training plan, what we’ll see is that information copies over from the Season Road Map. So, we already have her longest swims, bikes, and runs populated here. If we look at the Volume + Planned view, we can see those planned total volumes that we entered in her season roadmap.

We can then go in and start to enter specific volumes for the rest of her workouts each week. We can also look at things in the Detail view where we can input notes about the specific type of workout we want to do each week.

The columns in the training plan are based on Beth’s Workout Settings. So, if you want more swims, fewer bikes, any changes, just go to the Workout Settings and update them here.

Finally, when it’s time to load Beth’s training into the outside platform, such as TrainingPeaks or Final Surge, it’s often helpful to remember what days Beth likes to train on for which sport. So, we have a Weekly Schedule option for the Athlete Hero Bar that can show us exactly that. If we need to modify a schedule we just click the pencil icon. You can add a new schedule using the plus button, and that will actually help you keep track of what her previous preferred schedules were in case you’d ever need to revisit them.

And with that, you’re ready to create your own Training Plans.
